History & significance

A Bhadrakali temple at Mudakkal north of Attingal, holding a black stone image of Amunthirathamma; the community's presence here traces to 1727, when Marthanda Varma brought Vanjipuzha madam Brahmin families from Chengannur to Thiruvananthapuram, and the present temple was built in 1988 and registered as a trust in 2005.
