A Shiva temple on Ananda Giri hill near Hebbal in Bengaluru, traced in origin to the Chola period of the 13th century but rebuilt in successive renovations in 2000, 2009 and 2012. Maha Shivratri draws thousands to the hill.

Devotees first propitiate Kaala Bairaveshwara as guardian of the place, and a tunnel is said to have run from the hill to Nandi Hills for kings escaping attack.
