A pagoda temple at Satrasay Phant in Tanahu District built in 2035 BS, its Shivalinga installed in 2054 BS. It draws pilgrims from Tanahun, Kaski, Gorkha and Lamjung and closes through the month of Shrawan and on new-moon days.
What follows is the temple’s own traditional account, transmitted through liturgy and local memory. It is recorded here as tradition, not as attested history.
The name is explained by a girl who came searching for water and found a spring here, from the local words aan, thirst, and dhi, water.
