History & significance

A Krishna temple in Kuzhuppilly village on Vypeen Island, maintained by the Goud Saraswat Brahmin community, whose idol was consecrated in 1895 and whose present building was completed in 1964. Its interior walls carry an extensive painted Dashavatara cycle, and sub-shrines honour Hanuman, Garuda, Ganapati, Lakshmi, the Navagrahas and Nagaraja.
