History & significance

A Shiva temple near the Indo-Nepal border in Madhubani district, founded by a local Maithil Brahmin family and reckoned to be more than a century and a half old. It is a regional pilgrimage point, busiest during Sawan jalabhisheka and Mahashivratri.
