A group of stone temples near Dhameta in Kangra district, dated by historical accounts to the 8th century, of which nine of the original eleven survive. They were submerged by the Maharana Pratap Sagar reservoir when the Pong dam filled in the early 1970s and emerge only between March and June as the water drops.
Local folklore credits the Pandavas with building them during their exile, and with abandoning a staircase meant to link the site to the Masrur rock temples in a single night — forty steps of it are still there.
