A living Shakta shrine on the bank of the Sai river in Bela Pratapgarh, from which the town takes its name. The present main temple was built between 1811 and 1815 by Raja Pratap Bahadur Singh of Awadh.
Rama is said to have worshipped the goddess here during his forest exile.
