Also called Gandaki Bhairavi for the river below, this pagoda stands 200 m south of the Nuwakot palace; Bahadur Shah roofed it in copper in 1793 with a plate marking Nepal's victory in the first Sino-Nepalese war, and arms from that war were kept there. Badly damaged in the 2015 earthquake, it was restored by August 2020.
