A hill shrine in Bhalei village, Chamba district, built by Raja Pratap Singh and later renovated by Raja Sri Singh, whose sanctum holds a two-foot black stone image of the goddess. It draws large pilgrim gatherings at the Ashwin and Chait Navratris; the image was stolen in 1973 and recovered near Chohra.
The goddess is said to have appeared to Raja Pratap Singh in a dream asking to be brought out of a hidden place called Bhran, and the palanquin carrying her would move no further than Bhalei, which was read as her choice of site.
