Shibbari, Dhaka, Dhaka · 23.7295°, 90.3962°
A Shiva temple, also called Shivbari, standing north of the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka and founded during Jahangir's reign; a severe storm wrecked it in 1912 and Raja Bijay Chand Mahtab of Burdwan had it rebuilt. Its caretaker and several resident ascetics were killed by the Pakistani army in the 1971 liberation war, and the surrounding locality of Shibbari takes its name from the temple.
