A Siddh Peetha on Neel Parvat across the Ganga from Haridwar. The present building was raised in 1929 by Suchat Singh of Kashmir, while the principal image is traditionally said to have been installed by Adi Shankara in the 8th century.
The goddess Chandi is said to have rested on this hill after killing the demon kings Shumbha and Nishumbha.
