A towering Bundela temple at Orchha with one of the tallest vimanas of any Indian temple, begun by Madhukar Shah and completed by his son Vir Singh Deo during Akbar's reign.
It was raised for the Rama image the queen brought from Ayodhya, but the image would not be moved from her palace, which became the Ram Raja temple instead.
