A goddess temple at Thalassery in North Malabar where Kali is worshipped in three aspects as Thrigunaathmika. The structure is held to be at least eight centuries old and its foundation is credited to the Chirakkal raja of the Kolathiri line.
The goddess is said to have revealed herself at Vamal with her retinue, in a palace where the river meets the sea, and in the form of a divine fish.
