History & significance

A sixth-century Shiva temple on a forested plateau some 60 km east of Warangal, its carving dominated by Ardhanarishvara and close in feeling to Gupta-period sculpture. Recorded by the Archaeological Survey of India in 2012 but left abandoned, it drew wide attention only when photographs of it spread online in 2017.
