History & significance

A temple built in February 1966 on the Indian Army's EME School campus at Vadodara under its first commandant, Brigadier A. F. Eugene, its aluminium geodesic dome following Buckminster Fuller's design. It draws architectural motifs from six faiths as a statement of Indian secularism and holds 108 stone sculptures dated between about 600 and 1600 CE.
