A Shiva temple on the bank of the Ratnakar river in Hooghly district, rebuilt in 1943 by the local zamindar Bipin Bihari Sinha after flood damage, with subsidiary shrines to Durga, Kaal Bhairav, Surya, Kali, Shashti, Sitala, Dharmaraj, Radha Krishna, Annapurna and Shani, and a Sufi pir's shrine. Its calendar keeps the Bengal folk festivals of Neel Puja, Gajan, Shivratri, Bhimekadashi and Ratha Yatra.
Local belief holds that the same Shiva lingam has been worshipped on this spot for more than five hundred years.
