Dated to the era of Harshavardhana in the 7th century, this is the largest and most ornate temple of the medieval group at Kerakat and is counted among the better-preserved medieval temples in India. Its lingam was buried by raiders and later recovered, and villagers rebuilt the temple in 1990; the name means the great god of the Gomti, on whose bank it stands.
