An eleventh-century funerary complex at Tampaksiring, north-east of Ubud, where ten candi are cut in relief into seven-metre niches in the cliffs on both banks of the Pakerisan river. The shrines are understood to commemorate King Anak Wungsu of the Udayana line and his favoured queens, with the eastern group associated with King Udayana, Queen Mahendradatta and their sons. A legible inscription on the northern shrine reads Haji Lumahing Jalu, taken to mean that the king made a temple here.
