The first golden temple built in Telangana, completed at Banjara Hills in 2018 and inaugurated by Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, with a five-tiered gilded gopuram, a 50-foot golden flagstaff and a main hall of some 4,600 square feet. It holds four shrines: to Lakshmi Narasimha, to Radha-Govinda, to Shiva as Panchajanyeshwara and to Hanuman as Japa Anjaneya.
What follows is the temple’s own traditional account, transmitted through liturgy and local memory. It is recorded here as tradition, not as attested history.
Devotees hold the Lakshmi Narasimha worshipped here to be swayambhu, self-manifested several centuries ago, making it one of the oldest shrines in Hyderabad.
