One of the oldest temples in central Vietnam, with a history of more than 700 years. Founded as Tri Kien Temple and visited by Emperor Tran Nhan Tong by 1301, it was renamed Kinh Thien Tu in 1716 by Nguyen Phuc Chu and Hoang Phuc Tu in 1821 by Minh Mang; wrecked by a hurricane in 1985, it was rebuilt from December 2014, reopened in January 2016 with relics presented by the Myanmar Sangha, and is a recognised national historical relic.
