History & significance

An 85-foot Jagannath temple in Dibrugarh completed in 2014 at the initiative of Janaki Ballabh Patnaik, then Governor of Assam, and run by the Sri Sri Jagannath Cultural Trust; its plan follows an earlier form of the Puri temple and its grounds hold seven subsidiary shrines.
