A walled twelfth-century Shiva precinct at Kalarahanga on the northern edge of Bhubaneswar, once ringed by water on all four sides, whose sanctum lingam sits 1.15 m below the chandrasila; it was repaired by Odisha State Archaeology.
A king of Chudangagada devoted to Lingaraja is said to have been told in a dream to raise a temple at the lotus pond where the lord dwelt as Jalasayi, and built it on the pond's western embankment.
