A goddess shrine on the Dulung river some 14 km from Jhargram, founded roughly five centuries ago by Gopinath Singh, the feudal ruler of Chilkigarh, who is said to have made the image after a dream. The original idol was stolen twice in 2007–08 and replaced with an ashtadhatu figure; the surrounding sacred grove is now a protected herbal forest.
Villagers hold that human sacrifice was offered here until the goddess herself forbade it, and that on Navami she cooks the offerings with her own hands.
