One of the four celebrated Vinayaka shrines of the Kathmandu valley, dedicated in 1661 near Bungamati under the local leader Purna Singh at the start of Shri Niwas Malla's reign. Worship began at a natural stone shaped like Ganesha, now sheathed in silver, and devotees come before starting new undertakings.
