History & significance

Begun in 1889 by the local zamindar brothers Dwarampudi Subbi Reddy and Rami Reddy and rebuilt in stone by 1939, with tall gopurams added through the 1950s. Its scale and pilgrim draw have earned it the nickname Chinna Bhadradri, the little Bhadrachalam.
