A Chinese Buddhist temple on Chinatown Road in Amarapura, built in 1773 in the reign of King Singu with money from Chinese officials of the Burmese court, among them the tax minister Min Haw Hot. Burned three times between 1810 and 1837, it was rebuilt from 1838 under Tharrawaddy and finished in 1847 under King Pagan, with tall brick firebreak walls, and is treated as a monument of Burmese-Chinese exchange.
