A standing Buddha of 116 metres (129 metres with its base) raised near Monywa on the initiative of the abbot Ven. Nãradã and completed in 2008. It briefly ranked as the tallest statue in the world and stands beside a reclining Buddha depicting the Mahaparinirvana.
