History & significance

A modern monastery near Ranka, about an hour from Gangtok, completed in 1999 and also known as Ranka Lingdum or the Pal Zurmang Kagyud Monastery. It belongs to the Zurmang Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and is led by Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche.
