An 8th-century saptayatana temple near Dwarka, its large central shrine ringed by six smaller ones, now a Monument of National Importance in the ASI's Vadodara Circle. Scholars link the name element Maga to the Aboti Maga Brahmins, Surya worshippers who migrated from Iran to western India, and read the site as an original sun temple.
