A Shiva temple near Puranigudam in Nagaon district begun in 2003 by Acharya Bhrigu Giri Maharaj and finished in February 2021; the 126-foot structure is itself shaped as a shivalinga and is claimed to be the largest of its kind.

The site is held to be where the guru Shukracharya recited the Mahamrityunjaya mantra.
