One of Goa's oldest surviving temples, raised in the mid-sixteenth century at Sristhal in Canacona by forebears of the local Kshatriya Samaj and refurbished in 1778. Its halls, rich in wood and silver carving, house some sixty deities, and it is known for the Rajbag beach jatra and the Shisharani ritual.
The shrine's name is explained both by Shiva's reunion with Parvati at this spot after their separation and by his killing of the demon Malla in defence of Arjuna.
