A two-storeyed pagoda shrine of the goddess Bhagawati in Gorkha district, founded in 1678 by Arman Rayamajhi during the Gorkha kings' rule and served by priests who must descend from Lakhan Thapa Magar. It has survived the earthquakes of 1934, 1988 and 2015, and was extensively rebuilt between 2015 and 2018 with fourteen kilograms of gold used in the restoration.
Tradition says a Gorkha queen's hidden divine power was known only to the priest Lakhan Thapa; after the king died and she committed sati, a farmer's plough split a stone that ran with blood and milk, and Lakhan Thapa performed rites there and raised the shrine.
