History & significance

A Shiva temple about 15 km from Mansehra, rebuilt in the 1830s by the Raja of Jammu around a lingam reported to be some two thousand years old. Sealed from 1948, it became accessible again in 1998 and has been partially restored by Pakistani Hindus, who gather here for Shivaratri.
