A 108-foot whitewashed chorten in central Thimphu raised in 1974 by Queen Ashi Phuntsho Choden Wangchuck in memory of her son, the third king Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. Unusually for a chorten it holds no bodily remains, only the king's photograph, while its three interior levels are filled with paintings and sculptures of wrathful Nyingma deities; it is one of Thimphu's busiest daily places of worship.
