A pagoda beside the Myinsaing palace site, founded in 1301 by Athinkhaya to commemorate the Burmese victory over the Mongols. King Uzana I of Pinya enveloped the original completely within a larger structure in 1329/30, following an earlier project at Mekkhaya; the fabric had badly decayed by 1925 and restoration was completed in 2004.
