History & significance

A Devi shrine in the high range about 3 km from Kattappana on the Kuttikkanam road, rebuilt in 1989 by the Kalloorath family under K. K. Thankapan in place of an earlier 20th-century shrine, and historically linked to the Moothedathu Devi Temple at Vaikom. Its festival is the Kumbha Bharani Mahotsavam in February and March.
