History & significance

A tall temple to Radha and Krishna about 1.5 km from the Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar, completed in 1940 for Rani Charushila of the Pathuriaghata Ghosh family of Kolkata, who built it on the advice of the saint Balananda Brahmachari after losing her husband and son. Its design echoes the Ramakrishna Mission's Belur Math.
