A hill temple to Murugan near Gobichettipalayam, built in 1956 after a devotee reported a divine spark on the hillock in 1954 and enlarged in 1980. It has a five-tier gopuram and a forty-foot statue of the god, and the hill is named in the 17th-century Thirukutrala Kuravanji.
The sage Durvasa is said to have installed a chakra on the hillock, after which Murugan appeared there in the form of a serpent to grant darshan.
