History & significance

A temple at Ratnagiri built between 1929 and 1931, conceived by V. D. Savarkar and funded and constructed by the philanthropist Bhagoji Baloji Keer with the Ratnagiri Hindu Sabha. It was founded as a temple open to all Hindus regardless of caste, and its attribution became the subject of a textbook controversy in 2025.
