A 20-metre stupa at Dan Sai in Loei, raised around 1560 jointly by King Setthathirath of Lan Xang and King Maha Chakkraphat of Ayutthaya to seal a mutual-defence pact; its name means the stupa in honour of two loves. A stone inscription pledging that neither kingdom would violate the other’s territory once stood here, and the monument appears on the seal of Loei province.
