History & significance

A Vishnu temple at Saidapet in Chennai where the east-facing Prasanna Venkata Narasimha stands with Sridevi and Bhudevi. The article dates it to the 12th century and attributes its building to the Balija Chetty community under Vijayanagara rule; the Ramanuja Vijaya Vilasam hall, now the Ramanuja Koodam, was added in 1901.
