History & significance

A Venkateswara temple near Tirupati completed in 1232 under Venkata Perumalaraju Brahmadeva of Karvetinagaram, where the deity's right hand is held in abhaya rather than the pose usual at Venkateswara shrines. It has been administered by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams since 1988.
