A subak temple of the Sangsit rice-growing community, dedicated to the rice goddess Dewi Sri and dated to the fifteenth century, when brahmins arrived from the Majapahit kingdom. It takes its name from the beji, the pond used for purification, and is covered in the heavy foliate carving that distinguishes north Balinese work from that of the south.
