History & significance

A Balinese Hindu temple on Serangan island south of Denpasar, credited to the priest Mpu Kuturan and enlarged by villagers in 1982; its Kuningan-season festival draws pilgrims from across southern Bali, and the island was joined to the mainland by reclamation in 1996.
