Bogor Regency (Mount Salak), West Java · -6.6695°, 106.7354°
A large modern temple on the slopes of Mount Salak, begun in 1995 through the joint labour of the Hindu Nusantara community and serving as a Pura Kahyangan Jagad for devotees around Greater Jakarta. Its Padmasana, Balai Pasamuan Agung and paduraksa gates are finished, but the compound as a whole is not.
What follows is the temple’s own traditional account, transmitted through liturgy and local memory. It is recorded here as tradition, not as attested history.
The site marks the belief that Prabu Siliwangi of Pakuan Pajajaran attained moksha here together with his soldiers.
