History & significance

Described as one of the older and more important temples of the Travancore region, it served as the kingdom goddess temple of the Odanadu rulers. Its congregation spans three karas of Ramapuram village, and its festivals follow the Malayalam calendar dates of Vrishchika Bharani, Kumbha Bharani and Makara Ashwathi.
