Raised at Tansen Durbar Square by Ujir Singh Thapa in 1872 BS to mark the Nepali army's victory in the Anglo-Nepalese war, and rebuilt by Pratap Shamsher Jung Bahadur Rana after the 1990 BS earthquake. Its Bhagwati Jatra, also called Sindoor Jatra, has been held the day after Krishna Janmashtami since 1877 BS.
