A major Jain pilgrimage centre in Udaipur district revered by Digambara and Shvetambara alike, and by local Bhil communities. The Rajasthan High Court ruled in a judgment of 30 March 1966 that it is a Shvetambara Jain temple.
The image is said to have appeared first under a banyan tree outside Vatpradnagar and then beneath another tree a kilometre away before being enshrined where it now stands.
