A goddess temple at Osian in Jodhpur district, as old and as important as the neighbouring Mahavira Jain temple and carrying decorative features of Jain workmanship. She is honoured as the protective deity of the Oswal community.
Jain tradition says the teacher Ratnaprabhasuri turned the fierce goddess Chamunda into the vegetarian deity Sachiya Mata, who then became guardian of the Oswals.
