A Ganesha temple in a busy quarter of Visakhapatnam built in 1962 by the Arcot Mudaliar brothers T. S. Rajeshwaran and T. S. Selvaganesan and now under the Andhra Pradesh Endowments Department. Residents bring newly bought vehicles here for blessing, and Ganesh Chaturthi is kept with great ceremony.
The city holds that the temple shielded Visakhapatnam during the 1971 war, sinking the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi off its coast.
